A fine example of a traditional walking stick with knob handle. Made of blackthorn, a slow growing tree species that can be found in scrub, copses and woodland. Due to its hardwearing qualities it is also the choice of wood for the Irish shillelagh.
Handcrafted with a knob shaped handle with that fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. The stick is slightly tapered with the bottom end fitted with a strong metal ferrule made of brass. The craftsman decided against removing the bark and stumps of the original timber to retain the sought-after rustic look.
