A Near Set Of Arts & Crafts Plant Stands English 1900's ANTIQUE
A close matching pair of antique plant stands constructed from sturdy oak. Dating from the Arts and Crafts period, around the turn of the century in 1900. Its elegant vertical design consist of four slender legs and two display shelves. The square top is carved with scalloped edges. Rather striking is the protruding dot (or roundel) that is fitted towards the top of each side of the stand, reminiscent of a decoration detail often found on pieces from the Aesthetic Movement.
The plant stand is an ideal interior accessory for showing off precious items. This near pair (showing the slightest difference in height, wood structure and colour) creates a visible spectacle in living or entrance spaces, old and new. In fine condition, with very few marks of wear. Carefully cleaned, prepared and waxed, ready for a new chapter in its life.
