Set of two highly decorative lanterns of a large size that were designed for visual impact. The finely pierced Indian style decorations show the quality of the craftsmanship. With a spacious interior for pillar candles, traditional or LED. Designed for indoor use, yet the fitted handles make it easy to use the lanterns outside on a balmy evening.
Fitted with a spacious compartment to place a candle, larger or smaller (or other light source). This area is secured with a small catch and can be accessed via the side panel. Made from folded metal with a warm golden or bronzed finish. The side panels are fitted with glass panes.
Much of the striking look of the lanterns is down to the architectural elements used in its design. The top section consists of a curved dome made up of four individual pieces of curved glass. Standing on top of the dome is another decorative section with a small roof a little reminiscent of a pagoda, that provides ventilation for the heat from the light source. The top is finished with a lovely finial and fitted handle. Both lanterns are raised on metal stands with four curved feet.
These attractive metal and glass lanterns or candle holders are of a vintage age. Both are in excellent condition, the glass panes are without damage or cracks. A beautiful set ideal for the home interior.
