Crocodile Skin & Leather Wallet Silver London Edwardian (1904) ANTIQUE
This luxurious crocodile skin wallet with Sterling silver corner brackets was made by London silversmith Fred Taylor in 1904. The wallet consist of a front and back panel that are hinged and is fitted with a clasp. Fitted with a soft leather interior that is framed by a silvered metal frame. Finely stitched pockets with four storage options, the leather has taken on a lovely mellow tan colour.
Even though the wallet is 120 years old, it is still relevant today. It is a good size, not too large and not too small. The interior pockets are ideal for keeping bank cards as well as bank notes. There is even space for a driving licence or other ID cards. A few spare coins as well as a memory or sim card can be stored in the smaller pockets. The fully functioning metal clasp keeps the contents safe and protected.
This Edwardian crocodile skin wallet from 1904 is in excellent condition. Both interior as well as exterior have been well looked after by previous owners. The wallet has received a professional clean, feed and polish. The crocodile skin and leather are well nourished and feel soft to the touch. The silver brackets (with full hallmarks) show some signs of use and have a few marks. The silvered metal frame has a few age related blemishes. This beautiful wallet would make a super stylish gift for someone that loves his/her antiques.
