Drambuie is a whisky liqueur made of a blend of aged Scotch whisky with honey, herbs and spices. It's origins can be traced back to a secret recipe created for Bonnie Prince Charlie. After the defeat of his armies at Culloden in 1746 the Prince fled to the Isle of Skye. The legend goes that the recipe for this tasty drink was given in gratitude for the help and hospitality that he had received from one of the Scottish clans.

No wonder that Drambuie (Gaelic for 'the drink that satisfies') has used a likeness of this famous historical figure in many of their advertising campaigns. This beautiful figurine is one such example, most likely made for advertising the Drambuie drink in pubs and bars. Made of hand painted ceramic this striking statue of Bonnie Prince Charlie is approximately 35cm (13.75 inches) tall. Wearing full Scottish dress the Prince stands on a black base decorated with the Drambuie name on three sides. The title of Prince Charlie is hand painted on the same base not far from his buckled shoes. In excellent condition with minor paint loss, no cracks. Ready for display.
