Fox Stick Umbrella Navy & Leather Handle & Gold Collar 18ct VINTAGE
A post-WW2 (1960's or 1970's) gentlemen's stick umbrella that has recently undergone a full restoration by Fox Umbrellas. This skilled work was carried out in their London workshop, most likely in the same building that this Fox umbrella with its Paragon frame was originally constructed.
This exquisite vintage Fox stick umbrella is fitted with a leather covered handle in dark brown. One of the charming elements of this vintage piece is the time worn look of the leather surface, something the restorer has been so careful to retain.
A Fox stick umbrella is made with a handle that is fused onto a wooden shaft. The end of this shaft is protected with a metal ferrule. The stick umbrella can be used as a walking aid, however you should not bare full weight like you would on a walking stick.
The metal frame, made of strong Sheffield steel, has been factory serviced. Re-fitted with a brand new waterproof canopy in a stylish dark navy colour and hand sewn detailing.
The shaft was personalised by the original owner with a collar plated with 18ct hallmarked gold. The collar is unmarked and can be engraved with the new owner's initials.

In excellent condition, fully functioning, showing attractive wear on the leather and wooden surfaces. A fine piece of British craftsmanship.
