Framed Original Bus Blind DEPOT Destination Sign 1950's VINTAGE

The Ipswich Corporation operated from 1903 as the local transport network for the Suffolk county town. In the early years a small fleet of trams was used, later replaced by trolley buses. In 1950 the motorised bus made an entrance in Ipswich, and by 1963 all trolley buses were retired.

This is a framed section of an original bus destination blind used by Ipswich Corporation Transport around the 1950's and 1960's. Reads the word DEPOT in a beautiful period letter font, cream on a black linen background.

An original piece in ex-works condition. The linen fabric shows signs of use and wear. Its old working life is clearly on show, complete with oil and grease stains.

An authentic piece of bus memorabilia professionally fitted and framed. Sealed in a bespoke wooden frame of 86.5cm x 16.5cm, with square edges and painted in matt black. Fitted with high quality acrylic window for a clear presentation. Ready to be used immediately in your home or business interior.
