Holland & Holland Leather Bound Single Gun Case ANTIQUE
A beautiful leather bound single gun case for a 30 inch barrel. Made by Holland & Holland, one of the world’s best rifle and shotgun manufacturers. Fitted with the original interior of red baize and complete with all dividers and a leather holding strap. The lid is fitted with its original brass spring catch, unfortunately we do not have the key. Two reinforcement straps are fitted to the outside of the case. Holland & Holland’s paper trade label is fitted to the inside of the lid.
On our request this gun case has been recently serviced by one of the very best leather restorers in this country. Although found in a good condition the case needed a few ‘honest’ repairs which have been skilfully carried out. Hence the outside corners are now fully protected by four leather patches and the carrying handle has been reinforced. The interior and exterior have been thoroughly cleaned. All leather surfaces have been fed to bring out the best look and will ensure that this gun case will give many more years of faithful service.
The outside of the case carries the scratches and scars commensurate with its age. Even as just a display piece this gun case will bring a touch of class to any interior. As a small extra we have included a cleaning rod set.
