Although we are no trainspotters we do have a love for the railways. There is something so romantic about travelling by train. Hence we could not resist the unmistakable side profile of this super-attractive paperweight. Made from an offcut of old and redundant railway track once used by the London Underground. We have been told that rails like this could have a lifespan for almost fifty years. 

This railway track paperweight has been carefully prepared. This approach makes the most of this end piece of railway track with its unique rust surface that was created by time and weather. The top surface has almost a certain sculptured look about it, simply beautiful. 

This unique one-off paperweight is now ready for use in your home. The attractive rust colours are locked in and fully protected by a smooth thin layer of clear lacquer. Hand finished diagonal mini edging is applied on all pieces. Offcuts of track are not precision cut hence some of the flat sides will not be completely square on. The high quality lacquer should protect this piece with its beautiful warm and cut steel colours for many years. 

Please note, this paperweight is much heavier than most, but we can almost guarantee that your paperwork will not fly away!
